Just got The Doctor Who Archives: Prisoners of Time graphic novel. I’ve only started reading it, but I love One, Barbara, Ian and Vicki dressing up in Victorian era clothes… as well as Two, Jamie and Zoe landing in the middle of a shopping mall and eating sandwiches in a food court 😀

More thoughts as I read further along…

junkyardbluebox here! I’ve got a fluffy prompt. On a miserable planet they manage to find a quiet, lovely little place and have a picnic. As for OTP, Barbara/Ian please? :)

“Sandwich?”

“Yes please” Barbara smiled, accepting the sandwich without sitting up on the soft blanket. Lazily, she patted the spot next to her. “Lie down here, Ian?” She said.

Ian smiled, grabbing a sandwich for himself. “If the misses want me too” Just as lazy, he stretched out next to Barbara, watching her in the weak sunshine breaking through the clouds.

They had landed on a drab little planet, dry and cloudy and generally boring. While Vickie and The Doctor rushed off to god knows where, Barbara and Ian had went looking for a picnic location instead.

They’d managed to find a tiny patch of green grass, spreading out a deep blue blanket and put down the basket filled with food.

“Ian…” The words were said softly, without any special meaning, as Barbara rolled over on her side. Her eyes were half closed, her smile dreamy, and Ian could tell she was falling asleep fast.

“Schh, I’m here.” Gently, Ian stroked Barbara’s cheek, watching as she fell asleep beside him. She was the beautifulest thing that he had ever known, and it truly showed while she slept.

“Look Doctor!” Vicki exclaimed.

“Schh, my child. We shall not wake this ewho sleep.” Gently, The Doctor lay his hands on Vicki’s shoulders, holding them tight to stop her from interrupting the sleeping couple.

Spread out on a blanket by their feet, with two sandwiches spread out in their hair and on their faces, Barbara and Ian cuddled together, far off into dreamland and happy as could be.

Vicki thought it was adorable.

Awww this is so sweet! I’m with Vicki – they are adorable. 🙂 Thanks so much for writing this. I love it!
