Today is exactly 1 year since I bought my first Classic Who dvds.

I am absolutely gobsmacked because it is so little time. I then bought ‘Ace Adventures’, which included Dragonfire and Happiness Patrole (mostly because it was cheap lol).

Today, I own 30+ Classic Who dvds (including something like 5 boxsets), a number of books, comics and issues DWM. I own 3 pop figurines, a TARDIS cookie Jar, numerous smaller items and two Sonic Screwdrivers.

I even have signed poster woth Tom Baker and Nicholas Courtney’s autographs.

All of this, IN A YEAR. And exactly a year later I’m regretting nothing. True, maybe I should’ve been more economical at times, but it has still turned out all sorts of good and I’m happy to have been caught in this web of fandom.

Awesome! It’s amazing how Classic Who can get us hooked so quickly. 🙂 I got my first Classic Who DVDs on Christmas 2015 (the “Lost In Time” DVD set with the orphan episodes from Hartnell and Troughton’s time, as well as “The Three Doctors”). Since then I’ve managed to get all of Troughton’s episodes available on DVD, a good amount of Hartnell’s, a few Pertwee and Baker, and one Davison. I’ve got a TARDIS coffee mug, a graphic novel, and about 1.5 years ago I started this blog.

It’s been fun and I’ve met some really cool people in this fandom. I have no regrets whatsoever. 🙂

I’d like to give the Classic Doctor Who community a massive thumbs up.

You seeI recently realized how much less critical we are even to our most hated characters.

When I came into the Classic who fandom a few years ago I was told that Adric deserved to die, Tegan is horrible, Peri is the bitchiest bitch on Earth and you will NEVER love Dodo because who wants such a useless handful of immaturity and screams?

I was actively scared away from several companions and seasons of Classic Who which, in the end, turned out be some of my favourites.

Nowadays, I don’t really see that kind of hate anymore. I see us more involved fans welcoming the young ones and giving tips for how to start, but not trying to steer them away from what we personally don’t like.

And tbh, the fandom deserves a thumbs up for that!

I started my Classic Who blog a year ago last March and I have to say everyone I’ve met in this fandom (at least here) has been really awesome. I’ve been involved in my share of online fandoms and some of them have been pretty crazy *cough*understatement*cough*. Classic Who has been so laid-back and chill.

Massive thumbs up from me too! Love you all!
